Weather Conditions impact the battlefield and have a variety of effects on the Coromon in battle. They may occur naturally in certain areas of Velua, or are triggered during certain battles such as with the Titans. Additionally, they can be triggered by certain Skills and Traits.

Types of Weather

Heatwave

During a heatwave, Fire Type Coromon require 2 less SP for their skills. Non-Fire type Coromon will require 2 more SP. Additionally, it prevents and removes freeze condition.

It does not naturally occur anywhere. It can be caused by the skill Heatwave.

Rain

When it is raining, the damage of Water Type skills are boosted by 50% and the damage of Fire Type skills are reduced by 50%. Additionally, Coromon can't get Burned in the rain.

This type of weather occurs naturally on Donar Island. It can additionally be caused by the skill Monsoon and the trait Humidifier

Sandstorm

During a sandstorm Sand Type Coromon have 20% increased Accuracy and Crit Chance.

It does not naturally occur anywhere. It can be caused by the skill Desert Winds and the trait Dry Wind.

Snow

When it's snowing, non-Ice Type Coromon have a 5% chance to freeze each turn, and the speed of Ice Type Coromon are boosted by 50%.

Snow occurs naturally on Fresia Pass and in Alvai. It can additionally be caused by the trait Antarctic.

  • In online PVP matches, the "non-Ice Type Coromon have a 5% chance to freeze each turn" does not apply.

Twilight

The battlefield becomes dark and all Coromon, with the exception of Ghost Types and blind Coromon, suffer a 10% Accuracy decrease.

This occurs naturally in Thunderous Cave. It can additionally be caused by the skill Artificial Night.

There is a trait called Dark Atmosphere which summons twilight upon the Coromon's entering a battle, however no Coromon currently has this trait. It used to be the signature trait of Lunarpup and its evolutions, but has since been removed.

Corrupted Storm

Dark Particles float through the air.

Non-Dark Magic Coromon have a random stat lowered by 1 stage each round.

History

  • v1.0.20:
    • Heatwave now also prevents and removes freeze condition.
    • Sandstorm now raises Accuracy and Crit chance (instead of Accuracy and Evasion) for sand Coromon, and no longer lowers stats for non-sand Coromon.
    • Snow weather no longer randomly freezes in online battles.
  • v1.0.19:
    • Decreased time of Rain animation.
  • v1.0.16:
    • Fixed Rain weather not preventing Burn condition.
    • Fixed Snow causing an Invalid Online match.
