Professor Rigel

Professor Rigel, named Professor Spruce prior to version 0.2.0, is a Professor whose office is at the R&D Lab at Lux Solis Campus. He supervises the player and guides them in the completion of Project Chimaera.

Description

Professor Rigel appears as a orange-haired man wearing a lab coat. He uses a wheelchair.

In game

After the player completes their training, they get to meet Rigel who gives them a Lab Coat and Glasses to bring them into his office where he explains what Project Chimaera is and gives the player the Essence Collector module telling them to go to Perrin in Hayville to have it installed.

After Umbra Noctis kidnap Thomas at Donar Island, Professor Rigel is called to the Buzzlet Lab to analyze the security footage. He notices the aura of a Titan surrounding Thomas. After asking for the footage to be sent to his lab, he leaves.

After the player extracts the Titan Essence from Voltgar, the professor calls them to the Buzzlet Lab to inform them that there is a seventh, as of yet unknown Titan whose power is used by Umbra Noctis to brainwash people. He then tells the player to continue their journey to Pawbury.

Trivia

His name refers to the star Rigel, the brightest star in the Orion constellation.
