The Battle Reader is a gadget key item that automatically reveals the Potential value of a Coromon during battle. If a Coromon's Potential category is at least Potent, the value is displayed alongside the visual pop-up over its HP upon appearance. The Potential value of any Coromon can also be viewed when checking their summary.
Obtaining
In order to obtain the Battle Reader, the player has to speak to Joseph in Buzzlet Lab and start the quest Buzzlet Delivery.

Trivia
- The Battle Reader used to be located inside the rear cavern within Buzzlet Lab. The player was supposed to use the LuxBoard to reach the area and look for a cleverly-hidden chest along the left side of the cavern before the enclosed backroom. That chest now contains a Potent Scent.
