General Game Information

Q: When will Mobile version release?

A: There's no confirmed release date for Mobile but it is currently aimed to be released this Summer.

Q: When will Switch version release?

A: There's no confirmed release date for Switch but it will come as soon as its possible.

Q: How much does the game cost?

A: The game is $20 for Steam & Switch. Expect around $2-5 for mobile.

Q: Do I still have to pay if I played the demo?

A: Yes.

Q: How does Coromon differentiate from other monster collecting games?

We are designing our own game in the monster collecting genre. There are a lot of changes and different approaches than what other games in the genre are doing. These differences can be found in every aspect of the game, from art style to battle mechanics.

Q: On what platforms can I play?

Coromon is available for Steam (MacOS, Windows), and will release for iOS, tvOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch! We're also looking into the possibility of Unix support.

Q: Will you translate the game to my language?

A: We aim to translate the game to as many languages as possible.

Q: Can I play with my controller

A: Yes you can!

Q: Won't you get sued?

A: We don't use any copyright materials or names. There are already several other monster collecting games out there as well.

Q: Why is the mobile version cheaper?

A: We believe the game is worth its full price, but we want to offer a competitive price on the mobile market. The Steam version will contain elements which can be purchased through IAP in the mobile version (don't worry, nothing in the mobile version will be pay-to-win).

Q: Can I help speed up development?

A: You can donate through KoFi or Paypal and get some cool in-game rewards as well! Check out our donation page.

Online Features

Q: Will there be multiplayer functionality?

A: There are online battles and cross-platform cloudsaves.

Q: Will there be trading online?

A: No.

Q: Will online battling be cross-play?

A: Yes

Potential System

For a more detailed overview on the Potential System. See here.

Q: What's the difference between Standard, Potent, and Perfect?

A: The difference is their potential stat. Higher potential levels get more points to boost their stats and changes their appearance based on what category they are.

Q: What's the chance of encountering a Potent / Perfect Coromon?

A: Both for the starters and for wild Coromon, the chance to encounter a Potent variation is 92/3194 (~1/35) and the chance to encounter a Perfect variation is 1/3194. There will be options in the full game to increase these chances.

Q: Can I increase the potential of a Coromon?

A: Yes, you can use the Potentiflator that's located on the second floor of Donar Island's Trainer Hub.

Q: Can I reset potential points spent on stats for a Coromon?

A: There will be a feature for this in the full game.

Save Data

Q: Will my savedata from the demo transfer to the full game?

A: We are able to transfer specific parts of your savedata. This includes your Coromon, quest progress and items. Although all Coromon XP beyond the max level in the demo will be reverted.

Q: I lost my save data for the demo, can I get it back?

A: Unfortunately no, cloud saves will only be a part of the full game.

Q: Can I back up my saves or transfer them to another device?

A: This will only be a feature in the full game. However, if you are on mobile, you hold down on a saveslot for 10 seconds in the main menu to email the developers to initiate save transfer for you. On PC, your save files are located in the directory "C:\Users\<User>\AppData\Local\TRAGSoft\Coromon\.system".

Other Questions

Q: Where can I find Lunarpup in the demo/early game?
